We already know that UK-based festival ArcTanGent has a knack for creating quality line-ups. Their first wave of bands for 2020 already included acts like Opeth, TesseracT, Perturbator, and Amenra (more about that here), but let me tell you – the second wave is equally as exciting, showing even more diversity and incredibly interesting acts!

The festival’s line-up now features big names like the legendary avant-garde project Swans, newly reformed post-rock band Maybeshewill, experimental grindcore enigmas The Locust (who will be making their first ever UK appearance), as well as rising prog metal stars Leprous.

Emperor’s Ihsahn is also coming with his Telemark EP in tow, while Belgium’s own Oathbreaker will play their only show of the year at ArcTanGent. This line-up announcement also features beloved acts like Agent Fresco, The World Is A Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid To Die, and Metz. Heavy tunes will come from Car Bomb and Frontierer, while Gost comes to deliver some synth tunes. Names like Herod, Bent Knee, Kokomo, and Germany’s finest The Hirsch Effekt round off the line-up, amongst a lot of other bands of course.

As you can see, ArcTanGent once more delivers everything from chaotic hardcore over darkwave, post-metal, indie rock, and post-rock to prog metal. All this promises to create a line-up, that will be truly fascinating for every fan of progressive, forward-thinking music. A true must-see for everyone who’s able to!

The festival will be taking place in Bristol from August 20 to 22, 2020. Make sure to get your tickets, and visit their website for further information!
