The Brazilian psychedelic trio Psilocibina have announced that they will set off on their first European tour, beginning in late September! It has been more than a year since the release of their debut studio album, Psilocibina, so I can only imagine the excitement the Rio De Janeiro natives must be feeling over finally getting to take the album on such a long tour run. The tour will span all over Europe, so if you can, definitely try to catch these guys on one of their stops.
Psilocibina‘s self-titled, which was their first studio release, came out last August, and I gotta say, it is pretty exceptional. I would say I am just shy of an avid psych rock listener, but Psilocibina checks off all my boxes of what instrumental rock should be. Due to there being no vocals, we are given the chance to fully immerse into Alex Sheeny’s fantastic guitar pieces, and paired with Lucas Loureiro on drums and bassist’s Rodrigo Toscano’s gritty slides, it can be guaranteed that hearing these songs played live will be nothing short of excellent. You can bet that we, over here in the states, will be enviously stoked for all the European fans that get to experience it.
