We have a crush on Danish bands. There’s so much good music happening in Denmark and especially its capital city Copenhagen. One of these groups are Siamese, an experimental rock band that incorporates R&B elements, such as proggy metalcore and pop music. Prime Collective founder Mirza Radonjica-Bang, who does a lot of songwriting for his bands, is the band’s singer and once again proves his musical ability. After their successful release Shameless in 2017, the band toured with bands like Dead By April. Now they are not only going to tour Europe for their first headline run, they also have a new record done which will be released this spring!

Super Human will be released on May 25 via Long Branch Records. The band already released two singles in support of the new record. An anthemic pop-rock ballad “Animals” and “Party Monster”, a slightly heavier song that has the potential to be a lot of fun on stage. As the main songwriter Andreas Kruger explains:

I’m not ashamed to say that a lot of the pop and R’n’B music that was huge between 1998-2005 was the main inspiration on the Super Human album. It’s a interesting mix of influences that drove us to write these songs. We had a desire to explore a more heavy sound, while following a classic Max Martin vocal construction. I hope the result speaks volumes

The sound of Siamese is a beast and guilty pleasure at the same time. Just imagine Bastille going straight rock while featuring metal elements and some djenty Volumes vibe. The lyrical aspect gets a further explanation by singer Mirza:

I remember when doing our last album it was all about being the cheeky band that wanted to provoke. On Super Human the core is reaching to some form of realization of ones potentials and limitations. Weaknesses and strengths. Realizing that you are normal, and that’s fair.

You see, there’s an interesting output coming up. Better mark your calendars for the release date and pre-order the record as soon as you can! The band also announced a headline tour for Europe, with support by The Five Hundred (UK-only).
