Steven Wilson doesn’t stay dormant for long. Fresh off getting married, Wilson announced a fall 2020 tour covering a good chunk of Europe. He’s entitling it The Future Bites Tour. This will be an arena tour, as Wilson puts it, ‘something on a grander and more immersive scale.’ There is more good news too! This tour will be in support of Wilson‘s upcoming album. All we know at this moment is that the forthcoming album will be his sixth, and a follow up to 2017’s To The Bone. Details of the album and it’s release date will come at a further time, but we can expect it to be great. Will he continue down the pop road, or will this album go back to his progressive roots? Only time, and probably Wilson, have that answer.
In celebration of The Future Bites Tour, Wilson is releasing a very limited edition vinyl of the forthcoming album. They are available for pre-order here. Along with the vinyl, tickets go on sale for the fall 2020 tour, which you can get here. There are different pre-order incentives throughout the week, and general tickets will go on sale this Friday, October 25, at 10 am local time. I was lucky enough to see Steven Wilson‘s tours in support of Hand. Cannot. Erase. and also To The Bone. Seeing him live is a remarkable experience, I can only imagine an arena tour will be something to remember forever.
