Quelle Chris Announces Innocent Country 2: Listen to “LIVING HAPPY”

Jean Grae’s husband, Quelle Chris, has announced his next album. Innocent Country 2 is slated to release April 24th on Mello Music Group; he will be rejoined by producer Chris Keys, who soundtracked the first Innocent Country project in 2015. Quelle also released a new single: “LIVING HAPPY”, featuring Joseph Chilliams and Cavalier.

Quelle gained traction in Detroit’s hip-hop scene, working with artists like Denmark Vessey (who makes an appearance on IC2) and Danny Brown before dropping his solo debut, Shotgun & Sleek Rifle, in 2011. Of the new album, he says, ‘Where Innocent Country explored isolation, Innocent Country 2 embraces community. The overtones of pessimism in IC1 have been replaced with hope.’
