Basement and Nothing have just announced that they will be touring through the US during May. They will be sharing the stage on some of these dates with Gouge Away and Teenage Wrist. Basement are an English band formed in 2009 in Ipswich, Suffolk, England. Their first studio album, I Wish I Could Stay Here, was released in 2011. In 2012 they released Colourmeinkindness, which charted on the Billboard Top 200. In 2014, they reunited to release Further Sky. The next album, Promise Everything, charted in 2016 in Australia, the UK and the US. The band’s fourth album, Beside Myself, was released in October 2018, off of which we will most likely be hearing a lot of tunes in this tour. Nothing is an American rock band that formed in 2010. They self-released several EPs before signing to Relapse Records, and released their debut studio album, Guilty of Everything, in March 2014. The follow-up album, Tired of Tomorrow, was released on May 13, 2016. Their third studio album, Dance on the Blacktop, was released August 24, 2018; off of which they will be definitely be playing some songs on this tour.
Gouge Away is an American punk rock band based in Florida that formed in 2012. The band is influenced by post-hardcore and noise rock bands such as The Jesus Lizard, Fugazi, Unwound, The Plot to Blow Up the Eiffel Tower and Nirvana. Gouge Away released their debut album Dies in 2016 to underground acclaim, and released its second album Burnt Sugar through Deathwish Inc. in 2018. Teenage Wrist are an American alternative rock band from Los Angeles. In 2015, the band released their debut EP Dazed. In late 2017, they announced being signed to Epitaph Records, which released the band’s first full-length album, Chrome Neon Jesus, in 2018. I guess this tour is going to be rife with classics and fresh tunes, definitely go check all these guys out.
