Japanese math rockers LITE are set to embark on a tour around the states in promotion of their sixth studio album Multiple. Along with hopping on some sweet festival lineups, such as Bangkok’s Maho Rasop Festival set for later this year, the quartet will make their way to North America in support of fellow funky math rock group Elephant Gym to grace us all with their beautiful polyrhythms. The tour includes dates in both the U.S. and Canada, which leaves plenty of opportunity to catch these guys live!

LITE‘s newest full-length album, Multiple, is full of all the jazzy, enchanting riffs and plenty of upbeat instrumentality a prog-head could want. Upon my first listen, this album instantly gave me some vibes reminiscent of Polyphia and CHON‘s Homey, but there is an enticing uniqueness to it that separates it from other math rock greats, and that same notion seems to flow throughout LITE‘s other works as well. Seeing these types of bands live is always so exciting, because you get to really focus on the music itself and actually witness how the each instrument contributes to the song overall, so this tour package is absolutely a must-see.
