Disastroid is an incredibly fun band making a name for themselves in the San Francisco Bay area in California. Laying down chunky tracks full of fuzzy riffs, head-bobbing groove, and tons of feedback, they are definitely worth the listen for anybody interested in stoner rock, or just good music for jamming in general. I’m really excited to premiere their new track “8hr Parking” here at Everything Is Noise!

“8hr Parking” serves as the first single from the freshly announced new album Mortal Fools. I can already tell this album is going to expand upon the sound they have been building up and take it to a whole new level. This song is packed with gripping guitar riffs drenched in reverb and touched with psychedelic influence. There’s quite a bit to take in with the almost five-minute runtime. There are moments where it sounds like classic Tool if they went for a crunchier vibe early in their career. In other moments, the drums and bass pummel down a furious rhythm while the guitar pushes out a wall of feedback and fuzz behind groovy riffs. Top it all off with the awesome solos and perfectly fitting voice of Enver Koneya and you’ve got a crushing and incredibly fun track.

Mortal Fools is already an album to look for in 2020 as it looms ever nearer. It releases on February 14 through Heavy Psych Sounds so we have a couple months of anticipation to build. Disastroid is likely to release another single or two in the meantime, so definitely be on the lookout for more music as well as pre-orders for Mortal Fools when they’re available! You can keep up to date with the band on their Facebook and Twitter. Be sure to grab a copy of Mortal Fools if you like what you hear.
