Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, BLKLST are a brand new, unrestrained force in hardcore metal. They have recently made waves with some devastating live performances, and their latest material promises to be the band’s strongest yet. “Hypocrite” is BLKLST‘s ultimate declarative war cry, and Everything Is Noise is proud to have the exclusive premiere.

As you can hear, BLKLST proudly draw strong influence from 90s nu-metal. “Hypocrite” contains some pounding riffs, layered upon a technically slick drum beat, and seasoned with just the right amount of grit. This edgy and uncompromising piece of metal is further brought to life by the marvelous vocals, evocative of the likes of Corey Taylor, Chino Moreno, and Anders Fridén.

In whole, it is a flawless and brutal track, and the chaotic visuals of the video fit perfectly with the song’s intense atmosphere.

Fans of this will be pleased to know that “Hypocrite” comes in the run up to BLKLST‘s brand new EP, Hard To Swallow, which will be the band’s first ensemble since 2016’s 11/11. Expect no punches to be pulled.

Hard To Swallow will be released on October 26. In the meantime, to hear more BLKLST, check out their Spotify and Bandcamp pages, along with their YouTube channel. For tour info and other news, visit their Facebook page.
