Another new two-day festival is on the horizon, and the lineup is looking very proggy indeed. Taking place on August 2nd and 3rd, the Radar Festival is bringing big name bands to the shores of the UK.
The main headlining acts are two you will be familiar with; Animals As Leaders and Monuments.
Both are leading lights in the current, modern, prog movement. Monuments, especially, have recently hit mainstream attention with their last album, Phronesis. We quite liked the album back in October. They’ve been tirelessly touring the world since it came out and are building quite the momentum.
This is not the only festival appearance from Animals As Leaders this year either, they will also be appearing on the bill for the Download festival in June.
These are not the only killer bands on the lineup, of course. Vola, Toska, and, and Everything Is Noise favourite, Rolo Tomassi are some of the other highlights. It also looks like further bands will be added at a later date.
These smaller festivals are usually pretty exciting for fans, not to mention great value for money. They give you a chance to get up close to a selection of your favourite bands, in a great venue, all at once.
The festival itself will take place at The Corner House in Guildford, UK. Weekend general admission tickets are priced at £65 and can be ordered from here.
