Italy has great bands to offer. One of these bands is Noise Trail Immersion. Their 2016 release Womb was an interesting mixture of dissonant and black metal influenced mathcore with great chord progressions on it. Now the band just announced a new record coming up this year!
Symbology Of Shelter will be released on November 2 via Moment Of Collapse Records. Hence we don’t have a single I can only tell you the following. The new record probably offers even more dissonant black metal (just think of Dodecahedron for example) influences to the mathcore basis. Also, the band focussed on post-metal aspects in their music and created a full piece. Maybe you want to get an image of it? Take a listen to the official album teaser!
As Daniele Vergine, guitarist of Noise Trail Immersion, comments on the new record:
‘With “Symbology Of Shelter” we tried to combine the ominous and misanthropic atmospheres of Dissonant Black Metal with the chaotic and intricate structures of Mathcore with the intention to represent musically the concept of the inner crisis experienced by everyone’s conscious self, that uses “shelters” in various forms to satisfy a compelling and nefarious need to attach meanings to life. The album takes the form of a 43 minutes long song (split in seven tracks), in order to take the listener into a non-stop journey in a dead-end vortex full of panic, anxiety, insanity, and desperation.‘
So we will get a 43-minute song that has been split into seven songs. Influenced by acts like Converge, Ulcerate, Gorguts, Ion Dissonance, Frontierer and War From A Harlots Mouth (to mention a few). Does this make you curious? I’m super excited because I’ve been missing a sound similar to WFAHM for a while!
