Rising Ukrainian metal sensations Jinjer are here to party and throw down this weekend with the announcement of their fourth album Macro, due for release on October 25 via Napalm Records. Accompanying the announcement of the release is the first single off the record, titled “Judgement (& Punishment),” which you can view below:
Set to a stylized, playful spin on classic fairy tales – featuring witchcraft, and band members as animated figurines – the track introduces a reggae vibe to offset their usual groovy savagery. It’s an interesting development, albeit one that feels natural. It’s Jinjer‘s catchiest song yet, and a promise of expanded horizons for the band.
