Taking a brief break from their PinioL collaboration, and in the run up to their new album Pantophobie, (mostly) instrumental deviants Ni have unveiled a video for their new song, “Heliophobie”. Everything Is Noise are therefore honored to have the exclusive premiere.
“Heliophobie” is a beastly low-end outburst from a band whose last non-collaborative album came way back in 2015 with Les insurgés de Romilly. “Heliophobie” draws from the best and the darkest traits of Ni‘s earlier material, and ramps it up tenfold. With each bar a build up to an explosive final minute, the song is a gripping roller coaster, evocative of the pummeling early works of Primus and Butthole Surfers. Ni seemed to have really refined their craft with this one. Everything seems just that little bit slower, meaner, and noisier than before. Do not miss it!
An extra shout out goes to the amazing puppetry in this video, courtesy of Compagnie La Pendue, based in Charleville-Mézière, France.
