Having fallen for their six-song head-melter Melted On The Inch earlier this year, we got the chance to catch up with the mighty Boss Keloid at ArcTanGent 2018. The five-piece act from Wigan, UK crafted an album that is being heralded as the fun version of Mastodon, with other comparisons being drawn to the newer Opeth material too. It’s a fantastic record, and you can check out our review of the album on our old site here.

Just before the interview, the band played the opening slot of the festival on the Yohkai stage, tearing into a four-song set comprised solely of the new record. Their sound was huge, with enormous guitars and exceptional vocal work. During the interview, we talked about their gear, their album, plans for upcoming tours, and even heard from the latest addition to the band – Matthew on keys.

Without further ado, here is the interview!

Be sure to catch Boss Keloid on their tour later this year with OHHMS! They’ll be playing a number of dates that you can look into on their Facebook page, and do take a look at their Bandcamp too. Holy Roar Records are re-releasing their 2016 monster album Herb Your Enthusiasm on September 20, and you can grab some tasty merch from both records!
