The enveloping dialogue illuminates in the warm hue of the composition, while the exchange of interwoven English and French dialogue carries a sense of unwavering intimacy. The cool warmth baritone delivery of Michel Le Faou coupled with Erelle Le Bar’s ethereal chanson-esque sweetness creates enough juxtaposition summoning imagery of star-crossed lovers exchanging initial glances, or reflections of a lifetime of love slowly playing out amongst the backdrop of the ever moving chaos of the world.
The video’s steady focus on the figurine lovers against beautiful backdrops of rotating cityscapes that fade in and out helps reinforce that focus on the symbols of the intimate microcosm of life that can develop between two. Leaving the big giant busy world to fade out of focus, it steadies the attention on what really matters. In contrast against the larger demands of the world, the simplistic understanding and warmth of unfettered love lingers and resonates with a warmth that eases even the weariest of souls. The strength it represents is vulnerable as it is all encompassing before it washes all away into a beautiful blue abyss of serendipitous joy. We all long to love and to be loved, and along with that comes the adoration of your lover’s smile. We recently had one of our very own transcend into a coupled life recently, and their excitement for the wedding and throughout their engagement was as sweet and sincere to witness as this track is to listen.
