British instrumental prog act Toska have launched back onto the scene with a trifecta of great news for fans. On November 2, they will drop their debut full-length Fire By The SilosToska‘s follow up to the critically acclaimed Ode To The Author EP, which dropped in 2016. On the record, we can expect a return to the same crushing, math-influenced prog metal we heard on their last outing, something the band compounded as they released their new single; “Congress”.

The new track has a stunning depth to it, in its 7 minutes runtime. Moving from heavy and epic plateaus of sound into slow, ambient sections, this has it all for any prog metal fan. The video that pairs with the song has a deep concept, and compliments the music perfectly – a dystopian look at humanity. Overall, it certainly sets a high standard for the remainder of the record.

On the concept of the album, the band had this to say:

“Fire By The Silos is a concept album. An idea grown from social observation; looking at humans, aspects of the world, and the direction we’re going in. It’s set in the near future and focuses specifically on a person affected by great political and economic change, forced to lose everything. Fire By The Silos attempts to describe the psychological and emotional torment that takes”.

To compliment their album out in November, Toska will be touring at the same time, from dates in the UK, all the way through to the ends of Germany. Be sure to catch them on one or more of these dates:

Nov 6, Manchester, Satan’s Hollow
Nov 7, Glasgow, Garage Attic
Nov 8, Sheffield, Record Junkie
Nov 9, London, Boston Music Rooms
Nov 10, Birmingham, Flapper
Nov 12, Hamburg, Headcrash
