Just one week from now, black metal punk doom hybrids Mantar begin their tour of Germany and Austria, accompanying the mighty Skeletonwitch. It comes off the back of their latest album, The Modern Art of Setting Ablaze, which was released last summer (read our review here). The album mixes in a lot of things, all of them wonderfully nasty. Mantar are sometimes fast, other times not so fast, but always heavy as hell. Give your eardrums a pep talk beforehand. Their rawness is not to be taken lightly.

So you can probably imagine what their stage presence must be like. Observe this video for further validation. Did I mention that Mantar are comprised of just two members?

With Skeletonwitch having a formidable energetic presence of their own, Mantar will make for the perfect tour buddies. Plus this tour also features the talents of Deathrite, who are fresh from celebrating the release of their new album Nightmares Reign, and the mega-speedy Belgium thrashers Evil Invaders.

Expect lots of noise, rage and mosh pits.
